Dean knew at the age of six that he was destined for show biz
as he watched his early heroes – Jonathan Winters, Bill Cosby,
and Alan King on television. He began his career on the theatrical
stage in college and later studied the fine art of comedy under
Bob Hope. In the early years, Dean sold jokes to Jay Leno and
worked as a bartender at the Improv. When breaking into comedy,
he performed with big names such as Chris Rock and Dennis Miller,
but it wasn't long before Dean came into his own and began headlining
on the Improv stage.
